How long does it take to see results?
Results take time, but if you’re consistent, they will come. If you are a beginner, results will come fairly quickly; even in only 30 days, you may start to see a difference in your strength and overall fitness.
Will I get the chance to meet new friends?
Of course! The reason we lean into group classes is just for that. Camaraderie and connection.
What sets you apart from other gyms?
We are a community of people that share the same fitness journey as you. We are here to build each other up - if you win, we all win.
How often do you recommend coming to workout classes?
If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with 2 to 4 classes a week, with the goal of working up to 5 a week after your first few months. It may take a while for your body to get used to training at that intensity, so listen to your body and know you will need recovery time between training days.
Do you provide refreshments there?
We have filtered water available to our members. Otherwise, protein, recovery drinks and snacks are available to purchase in our lobby.
Do I have to be fit to join?
No! No matter what your current fitness level is, we have fitness programs that will work great for you. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness, and move you toward your goals. Our programs are designed for universal scalability, making them the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.
What payment methods do you accept?
We take all major credit cards and debit cards. We do not accept personal checks.
What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?
CrossFit: Our class programming will include a brief and technical warm up by one of our certified coaches. From there, we will move into our strength portion followed by a workout programmed for that specific day. Workouts can be anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes or more. X4 Fit: These classes will begin with brief warm ups led by our expert coaches and will always include four 8-10 minute blocks of work. Each block will offer a different focus often including cardio equipment such as TruForm Runner treadmills, Concept2 Ski, Bike, and Row ergs as well as TRX Bands, dumbbells, plyometric boxes, slam balls, and jump rope and body weight exercises. Masters: Similar to CrossFit, our Masters athletes will begin with a brief and thorough warm up followed by the lifiting or movement of the day. After this portion, Masters members will move into their programmed workout to include and build upon those muscle groups.
Do I have to stop eating my favorite foods to be healthy?
No! A healthy lifestyle has to be manageable and realistic for the long term. Do enjoy special indulgences and meals! The healthier you are, the healthier you tend to want to eat. You get hooked on feeling good, and junk food just isn’t worth it. By avoiding excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates and measuring your intake of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, you will see dramatic, measurable increases in health.
What is Masters?
Is it intense?
It is purposeful, not reckless. We train strength, balance, mobility, and conditioning in a smart, age-appropriate way.
Do I need prior fitness experience?
Not at all. Many members begin after years away from exercise.
What if I have knee, back, or joint issues?
We modify movements and coach around limitations whenever possible. Our coaches for Masters classes are each certified Doctors of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapists for Shift Therapy.
What personal training options do you offer?
Who is personal training best for?
Anyone wanting customized guidance, accountability, specific goals, injury considerations, or faster progress.
What’s the difference between private and semi-private?
Private training is fully individualized attention + programming. Semi-private gives personalized coaching + programming in a small shared setting.
What ranges of experience do you work with?
We work with a wide range of clients from complete beginners to experienced lifters and athletes. We regularly help postpartum women returning to exercise, women navigating perimenopause, high school and college athletes seeking performance gains, and adults simply wanting to feel stronger, healthier, and more confident.
What is X4 Fit?
Is it challenging?
Yes! But also, no. It’s all about the effort you put in. And, we offer video demonstrations and low-impact modifications for every exercise to ensure everyone stays safe. Our goal is sustainability, not overworking to injury. Our coaches focus on proper form and appropriate intensity for your fitness level, not anyone else's. Many of our members once started as complete beginners.
What kind of workout is it?
Our classes change every day and incorporate hundreds of different exercises, but you can bet on a combination of cardio equipment, free-weights, the floor, and more.
How quickly will I see results?
Most members feel stronger and more energetic within the first two weeks, but physical changes typically become noticeable to others around 4-6 weeks of consistent attendance (3-4 times per week).
Do I need CrossFit experience to start?
What if I’m not in shape yet?
Every workout can be adjusted to your current level. All of our members scale, modify and even challenge themselves as confidence and fitness progress.
How many days per week should I come?
We encourage all members to consistently move at least 12 times per month. Average of about 3 meaningful workouts per week. This is to steadily grow and prevent injury!
How is your CrossFit program different?
Our program leans heavily into strength-focused training while still incorporating conditioning, skill work, and functional fitness. We are programmed directly in house!
Will I have to lift heavy right away?
No. Technique comes first. We teach movement patterns, build confidence, and increase load over time.
